Semana Santa, relaxing in Hontoria de Valdearados

What better to do for a five day weekend than go to a pueblo (Hontoria de Valdearados) where there's no cell service, good food and drink and family.

On Friday we took a day trip to Burgos to meet up with a few old friends. That was of course accompanied by good food and an after lunch coffee with the beautiful cathedral de Burgos in the background.

After lunch on Sunday, what could be better than watching some locals play "la petanca." It was an experience to say the least. It was an authentic experience, to say the least, accompanied by the main pastime of the pueblo, gossiping.

We were even able to get a climb in before we left. I didn't have any climbing gear with me so big thanks to Angelito who provided all the gear. He took us to a climbing called "Arauzo de Miel." We only climbed a few routes, but just being out there, getting some fresh air was what the doctor ordered.
